Technical guidelines & Media handover
Please provide your presentation in 16:9 format.
The preferred file format is .pptx, alternatively pdf files are also permitted.
The use of other formats may lead to deviations due to conversion problems or may not be displayed.
Please ensure that texts, diagrams, illustrations etc. are of a sufficient size.
A notebook with PDF reader and Microsoft PowerPoint 2021 will be provided for your presentation.
To ensure a smooth and efficient process, we kindly ask you to refrain from using your own notebook.
We will start your presentation in full screen and place a speaking time display (bottom right) over your presentation.
The speaking time display will be shown automatically at the beginning and end of your presentation and will be seen by the chairperson and the auditorium.
Presentations with embedded videos
When using video sequences, please bear in mind, ...
- ...that the CODEC required for video clips is supplied and that PowerPoint supports them: Instructions

Please note: For ecological reasons, we do not use printed speaker signs on the lectern.
Therefore, please include your name on the start slide or at best as a footer in your presentation.
Presentation upload
The media check-in for uploading your presentation is located in the back of the plenary Goethesaal.
For submission, please use a USB flash drive. Professional staff and equipment will be available for you to arrange and preview your presentation.
Time allocation
Please prepare your presentation for the allotted amount of time.
Chairs and moderators may interrupt should you overrun your time limit.
Preparation of your poster flash talk
In addition to your poster, the conference chairs are pleased to offer you the opportunity to showcase your work during one of the flash talk sessions.
A flash talk allows you to briefly present your poster in a concise talk (up to 5 minutes with a maximum of 3 slides).
Questions and discussions related to your poster can then be addressed within your 5-min flash talk and also during the subsequent poster sessions.
